Keep Dimond Clean 2023

Fidel Venezuela
Keep Dimond Clean Coordinator
Fidel joined the KDC effort in spring 2023 as the program’s first paid, part-time coordinator. Fidel works to ensure KDC activities run smoothly. Among his duties are scheduling litter walk leaders, distributing supplies, reporting results, and working with Bay Area Clean Team, the 5-days/week paid litter service.

Keep Dimond Clean Litter Walk Leaders
Each Saturday and Wednesday, one of KDC’s litter walk leaders organizes the volunteers – assigning routes, handing out equipment, and reporting results. Our dedicated leaders include Jay Ashford, Noel Black, MarySue Fisher, Heather Harris, Alex Park, Karen Marie Schroeder, Victoria Wake, and Marty Wunsch.

Bay Area Clean Team
BACT–a small, Oakland-based company—has been part of Keep Dimond Clean for many years. Marvin Clark, owner, and staff member Efren perform the paid litter service five days a week (every day except Saturdays and Wednesdays). The route is focused in the commercial area, and includes a limited level of graffiti removal and storm-drain clearing as well.

La Farine Bakery
La Farine Bakery generously provides treats and coffee/tea to Keep Dimond Clean volunteers. Each time a volunteer participates in a Saturday or Wednesday litter walk, she/he receives a La Farine coupon good for two pastries and two coffees, or one loaf of bread. Thank you, Gabby and La Farine!

Keep Dimond Cleans needs more VOLUNTEERS!
Litter walks are just one hour. Leaders provide all needed equipment–bags, pickers, vests, and gloves–and assign participants to specific stretches of street. Bags are then left at a designated drop spot at Montana St. and Flagg St.

SATURDAYS: 9am to 10am
WEDNESDAYS: 8:30am to 9:30am
Meet at the Giant Burger parking lot, 2055 MacArthur Blvd.
